Responsibilities:

The engineering intern is mentored by a senior engineer or Dev. Eng manager. They are expected to assist the development engineer(s) in their assigned process or task. They may be assigned projects that they work on alone or with a group. This will be a 3 month (June-August paid internship.


Requirement
:

The process/product assignment may be in any of these categories:

1. Redesign of a closed relay contactor to improve manufacturing yield and reduce cost

2. Develop bi-directional switching capability for the relay contactor

3. Develop automated test programs and test fixtures in support of development assignments.

4. Apply geometric tolerance principles to engineering documentation.

5. Perform magnetic analysis in support of product development assignments.

6. Work with mfg engineering to implement process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:mechanical engineer senior

US citizen or permanent resident required

solidworks or pro-engineer software desirable

finite element modeling exp. desirable

labview experience desirable

machining experience desirable

excellent verbal and written communication skills
