Chevron's Upstream Capability is accepting online applications for the position of Coach, DSM Foundations Program located in Houston, Texas.

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Accompany up to 4 DSM trainees into the field to provide coaching and mentorship on Chevron operated land based rigs.
  • Be available to provide additional coaching and mentoring to DSM trainees while they are attending class room training (DTA and vendor provided courses).
  • Gain feedback from the partcipants and others, as appropriate, to capture lessons learned and work with the program supervisor to make adjustments and improvements.
  • Work a 14/14 schedule.
  • The majority of the classroom and vendor training will be in Houston, field work will be in West Texas and other land based locations as available.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of directly related experience.
  • Sufficient experience as a DSM and/or WSM to provide coaching and mentoring to entry level DSMs regarding the basic fundamental responsibilities and requirements of a DSM/WSM on a land based operation.
  • Strong interest and demonstrated ability to effectively mentor and develop entry level DSM/WSMs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with trainees, DSM/WSMs in the field and course instructors involved in the development program.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Clear Leader initiatives and Chevron Way Behaviors.
  • Ability to work with personnel in a diverse environment, accept constructive feedback and use look backs to continously improve the quality and deliverability of the training materials.

    Relocation Options:

    Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
