COBOL, PL1/ DB2 Developers, Contract, Dublin City
Vantage Resources are urgently looking for a number of Cobol/PL1/DB2 developers to work on client site in Dublin City Centre. Experience of the Financial Services Industry would be a distinct advantage, but it is not essential.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
· Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Have proven documentation skills
· Have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player
· Take a lead role in the design, construction and delivery of IT solutions
· Have worked in the banking and/or financial sectors for a number of years
· Have a proven track record of on time delivery
· Have a good understanding of the project life cycle / process
· Have excellent experience in writing detailed Technical Specifications
· Provide development estimates for proposed projects/tasks
· Provide timely feedback to the team manager/lead on progress and issues
· Excellent knowledge of COBOL
· Excellent knowledge of PL1
· Excellent knowledge of DB2
· Excellent analytical skills
· Excellent software design skills
