Cobol/DB2 Developer
Industry: Investment Management
Responsibilities:
· Candidate will analyze, develop, modify and test DB2 Cobol programs or DB2 stored procedures that are used in either a batch environment or three tier architecture supporting our online environment.
Qualifications:
· 6 -10 years of experience in developing Cobol/DB2 development
· DB2 on z/OS, SQL, DB2 Access Paths, SQL performance tuning, DB2 Stored Procedures, Native SQL.
· Cobol: Structured Cobol programming, Embedded SQL in Cobol
· JCL: Procs, Parms
· Other Optional: EzTrieve, Endevor, Optimization Service Center, BMC Utilities, Visual Explain, Mainframe Express Tool knowledge, Control-M
· Knowledge of Data Stage ETL, XML, UNIX commands and UNIX shell script is a plus
· Knowledge of Financial Industry and Agile Development Methodology is a plus
· Must have a strong understanding and knowledge of DB2 relational database and its constructs
Background Checks Drug Screen:
· Within 24-48 hours of accepting a contingent offer of employment, all candidates will be required to take a Drug test. In addition, a detailed Criminal Background check will be conducted and used as a screening tool as permitted by law. Also, an Education verification will be conducted.
· No final offer of employment will be extended unless the candidate is able to pass this Drug Screening, Background Check and Education verification process. Only serious candidates who do not believe that negative results will be indicated need apply. EOE.
