Coder Facility: Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago, IL Department: Health Information Management Schedule: Part-time Shift: Day/PM rotation Hours: Tues/Thu 4p - 9p, Sat 8am - 6:30pm Job Details: Bachelors degree is preferred Certification Required Experience is required Coder - Health Information Management Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center 5645 W. Addison (Addison Central) Chicago, Illinois This position is responsible for performing concurrent initial admission review for medicaid and commercial inpatient accounts, assigns working DRG. Enters information into Midas. This function is performed on Saturdays but occassionaly during the week as well. Remaining time is spent coding inpatient accounts. Qualifications: 2 -3 years recent inpatient coding experience required. RHIA, RHIT or CCS required. 3M encoder experience required. Experienced in working with Midas plus. Must exhibit both positive customer service skills and attitude. Must be able to work productively in a nursing unit environment. Ability to work independently with little supervision. There is some flexibility with the start times as well as with the work days during the week. Saturdays are required.
