Coding Coordinator

The Coding Coordinator works as a member of the RRHS Coding Team to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of planning, organizing and monitoring of documentation, coding and billing practices.     

An Associate’s degree in Medical Information Technology (with college-level courses in Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, ICD-9-CM Coding, and Prospective Payment) or equivalent required. CCS Certification and 3+ years of experience as an inpatient coder are essential. The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have demonstrated strong knowledge of basic computer skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments as well as facilitate workflow and education activities independently required. Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology is also a requirement.
