Seeking a Head of Product for
an early-stage, VC-backed software+services startup in NY. We are pivoting the company and as a result, you would effectively come in as a cofounder. We prefer experience in US immigrant community, especially Spanish skills.
We are a 6-person early-stage company. At our core, we are the provider
of immigration solutions that make the filing of standard immigration
forms simple, safe, and affordable. The Company recently raised a round
of financing from some leading venture capitalists and has a
well-connected Board and Advisory Board. We work in a unique
fitness-friendly office in midtown Manhattan.
We are looking for a Head of Product that will take leadership of our
current product efforts, from top to bottom, and develop a singular core
Software+Service solution. This is an opportunity to show off your
product skills by honing and defining our product focus. You should
have a track record of delivering products that customers love, a
complete mastery over all phases of the product lifecycle, and an
ability to deliver one clear product process across the entire
organization. Knowing what motivates the US immigrant community will
allow you to successfully execute our current product strategies, to
recalibrate where necessary, and to exert strong influence on future
product direction.
As owner of our product line, your immediate objective will be product
execution and honing the features currently available. You will then
move forward to set the product direction, define the positioning
statements, and make sure your messaging is carried forth.
Overall
responsibilities:
- Define the product vision, strategy and
roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders - Articulate clear goals to meet that strategy
and track key metrics to measure success - Manage your product backlog, collect and
test ideas from every corner of the company, market, customer base, and
design community - Drive a clear vision for new projects,
gain consensus in the team and bring the right people together to
execute and ensure clear communication of priorities and progress - Manage staged product releases and being the
central point of communication right through to post-launch follow-up - Always champion the simplest possible user
experience
Requirements:
- Significant experience (5+ years) building
world class products in a leading SaaS or Software+Services business - Intensely analytical, using data to support and
drive your decisions - Highly creative with evidence of innovative
product development - Excellent leadership, problem solving, and
interpersonal skills - New York location, in the offices of one of our venture capital backers
We strongly
prefer:
- Personal background living in and working with a major
immigrant community (particularly the Hispanic American community) - Belief in the Edward Tufte school of communication
- Fluency in a second language (prefer Spanish)
