Cognos BI Analyst ( Relocation on offer ) Job in East Sussex Tn39 3Lw, Southern Uk
A Cognos BI Analyst with a minimum of 2 years experience developing Cognos Cubes Reports (ideally with versions of Cognos up to 8.4) is needed for a Financial Services outfit based in East Sussex. As the Cognos BI Analyst you will ideally have come from a Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing environment and will be familiar with tools such as Cognos Framework Manager, Query Studio, Report Studio and Transformer. As the Cognos BI Analyst the primary function of the role will be the development of reports and reporting tools to allow analysis to be carried out on the business performance, while at the same time ensuring data integrity. The company are currently going through some key transformation projects thus it’s an excellent time to be coming on board. The client is even willing to arrange a Relocation Package for the right individual.
Key Skills
· Able to support and enhance Cognos Data Warehouse environments
· Experience in relational database systems, such as MS SQL Server, MS Access or similar
· Proven Understanding of Data warehousing concepts especially star schema querying
· Experience working with data warehouse architecture in translating business processes and entities into Kimball star-schema design.
Desirable Skills
· Experience in insurance or financial services sector.
· Accountancy experience
· ETL experience (e.g. Informatica, Data Stage, Cognos Decision Stream)
· Exposure and understanding of complex statistical modelling used for high end analytics
