Collateral Management Senior BA/Urgent/contract recruitment
A leading financial services organization is keen to speak to Collateral Management - Senior Business Analyst for a rolling 12 months contract. The purpose of the role is to provide Business Analysis services within a Collateral Optimization Project
Key Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively engage, manage and build strong relationships with both business and technology (including vendors) stakeholders
- Work with the business to understand their requirements, define new processes and workflows. Question and challenge the status quo and assumptions
- Assist business functions with determining where inefficiencies lie, where overheads/costs can be reduced and where improvements can be made to increase revenues
- Document requirements in a clear, unambiguous manner. Ensure they are understood by all parties and sign off is achieved
- Propose relevant solutions and alternatives to meet business needs. Translate into clear, automated and globally standardized future state models
- Create functional and design specifications, ensuring all stakeholders, globally, are in agreement and provide sign off
- Ensure the overall quality of business requirements, functional specifications and supporting documents meet the bank's standards
- Work proactively with your fellow BAs, at times across geographies, ensuring work is proportionally distributed and that targets and project deadlines are met.
- Ensure development and testing teams understand the requirements and future state processes and that they are fully engaged early on in the project.
- Provide on-going support to the technology and testing teams as required e.g. reviewing of test cases, close out open issues/questions, manage change request process etc.
- Assist the business with UAT, including communications, planning, preparation and test cases
- Identify risks and issues early. Communicate them to the relevant people in a timely manner. Propose and plan mitigating steps.
- Work closely with Project and Program Managers to ensure stakeholders are fully engaged, communications are regular and honest and expectations are well managed
Skills required:
- Advanced understanding of Risk Analytics, VaR, IM, VM NPV Modelling
- Advanced knowledge of XML, fpML, MQ
- Expert Excel (VBA would be an advantage)
- Basic/ Proficient in Oracle SQL database query
- Proficiency in Access, Access and MS Word
- Proven ability to understand business needs, across asset classes and with a front to back perspective
- Ability to accurately gather and document requirements and functional designs of a high level, with no ambiguity.
- Ability to work proactively, independently and displays strong initiative
- Comfortable in a front office and sales environment
- Pragmatic team player with an attention to detail
- Ability to drive multiple agenda and effectively manage priorities
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with senior stakeholders, with an excellent standard of English (written and spoken)
- Confidence to challenge the status quo, providing alternative solutions
