Our company is seeking a Collateral Specialist to join our team.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for handling all communication and acting as a liaison between prior servicers and vendors in regards to Collateral Management and Release of Lien process.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Work with prior servicer to appropriately address any collateral management and address accordingly

·         Process all Release of Lien requests for paid in full loans

·         Clear all exception and discrepancy items timely to ensure reconveyance compliance with state statutory requirements for releases

·         Performs document tracking and control including file requests/returns and maintaining on and off site file storage

·         Manage daily incoming mail received from document custodians and/or recorded documents returned from counties

·         Process all collateral requests (default, internal, etc.) within timelines

·         Assume responsibility/ownership for meeting department objectives/standards

·         Work with third party vendors for document recording or exceptions services 

·         Responsible for MERS registrations/transfers and tracking all assignments for acquired loans

·         Special projects, as assigned

·         Participate in all team activities, including all training classes

·         Provide any required support to accomplish the daily and month-end production goals

·         Comply with all company policies and procedures

·         Perform other duties as directed by management

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills

·         Ability to analyze business functions and develop/implement innovative solutions.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

·         Ability to type 40 WPM and proficiency with 10-key

 

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

·         High school diploma

·         Minimum one to three years’ experience in mortgage loan servicing

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

·         Computer keyboard activity. Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force.
