Position Summary: Sets up, operates and maintains collator to assemble, glue, fold and cut multi-copy business forms and carbons. Primary Responsibilities: Completed detailed instructions from job orders accurately and precisely; identifies possible errors or problems and takes prompt action to correct Monitors equipment during job runs; Remains alert to mechanical problems and refers to maintenance as necessary Monitors product for quality during job runs; checks preciseness of detail against specifications and takes action to correct any problems Initiate the start up and production of jobs in keeping with production schedules Performs routine equipment maintenance Packs finished products into carton, labels and stacks on pallets Completes job ticket recording quantity run and shipped; delivers completed job to shipping Meets standards for output, waste and spoilage Sets up and adjusts collator for job runs to meet specifications Maintains accurate and organized work logs and paperwork Adheres to all safety guidelines; keeps work space clean and organized Performs other duties as assigned Basic: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience Training or on-the-job experience equivalent to apprenticeship on collator Good verbal communication skills Math skills including decimals, fractions, percentages and linear scales Ability to understand and apply detailed instructions Working knowledge of carbons, glues and related materials/techniques used in collating process Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks Ability to meet physical requirements of position (lifting 50 ?" 75 lbs., standing, reaching, machine noise and exposure to dust and fumes) Working knowledge of good safety practices Ability to meet deadlines Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality Preferred: Two years collator operator experience at journey level Staples is an EEO/AA Employer Follow Company Your information may be shared with the company.
