Collections Administrator

Our client is a leader in the alternative financial sector who offers a different concept to the high street consumer. They make getting money, transferring money and cashing cheques quick, easy and convenient. Short term loans are just the first of many products that they are bringing to the UK market to offer more accessible banking services.

 

Due to the success our client is now looking to grow their collections team- based at their national collections centre in Stockport. You will be required to maximise collections income by working with customers who are experiencing payment difficulties and agreeing and monitoring payment arrangements. This will be done by establishing the customer circumstance and affordability, then agreeing the most appropriate resolution. You will be respectful, empathetic and treat the customer fairly at all times, whilst having a firm but fair approach to debt resolution.

 

Responsibilities include;

 

• · Collecting past due accounts by telephone
• · Satisfying customers’ needs professionally and positively
• · Administrating outsourced customer accounts
• · Tracing customers and calling to establish payment arrangements
• · Striving to achieve higher performance levels
• · Keeping track of all collection activity
• · Liaising with branch colleagues
• · Achieving individual team and department metrics

 

To be successful you will have previous experience within a financial services collections team. You will be tenacious and resilient with excellent listening, investigatory and negotiation skills. You will have the ability to communicate clearly and have a tactful and discreet telephone manner. Experience in a quality and target driven call centre environment would be a distinct advantage. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanour.

 

You could currently be working in a similar role such as Account Manager, Collections Officer, Collections Agent, Collections Advisor, Customer Collections, Collections Negotiator, Collections Representative, Customer Account Manager, Debt Agent or Recovery Officer.

 

The salary for the role is £17,000 with the ability to earn a further £2,000 pa in bonus. Shifts are 8am - 5pm or 10am – 7pm, 5 days a week Monday - Friday. There will also be occasional Saturday morning working on rota, with time in lieu provided.
