IBC Accounting Operations is looking to hire Collections Analysts to support it's Direct Pay and Large Group Teams.
The Direct Pay Team works directly with individuals who are direct pay members. The Large Group Team resolves payment issues with large clients. Both teams require professionals with strong customer focus and the ability to discuss all aspects of account delinquency.
Responsibilities include:
- Work independently and with the Lead Analysts to understand and resolve delinquency issues among IBC accounts. Efforts include telephone outreach to discuss issues, as well as any resulting follow-up. Must be able to discuss all aspects of delinquency (payment not received, enrollment changes not submitted etc.) and relay the expectation that payment be received timely.
- Interact constructively with internal departments (Marketing, Underwriting, Enrollment) regarding issues that impact large clients, working toward a mutually acceptable solution per corporate and department policy and procedure. Understand the client's total relationship with IBC.
- Retain an up-to-date knowledge base of client agreements and terms with IBC and understand how they impact outstanding balances. Have intimate knowledge of the client's current delinquency status, the reasons for delinquency and the anticipated resolution timeframe. Provide frequent updates on delinquencies, for inclusion in monthly AR reporting to management.
- Maintain established department goals related to the reduction of DSO, client aging and client status updates. Record promise-to-pay arrangement and follow-up as needed.
- Represent the department at meetings and conference calls as necessary pertaining to the responsible items. Provide feedback on any required follow-up.
- Work with Lead Analyst to identify problematic and desired trends as they relate to the areas of responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- More than 3 years complex collections experience which includes the ability to understand account aging, DSO, monthly impact and results of operations and the identification of problematic trends in premium cash flows.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- More than 5 years complex collections experience.
- Previous health insurance collections experience.
- Associates degree or some college course work.
- Customer service experience in working with large clients with complex issues.
- Comfortable in making direct client contacts regarding issues of delinquency. Able to maintain calling goals and utilize collection system tools to understand client payment history.
- Ability to manage and report on multiple areas of responsibility, providing updates as needed each day. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
