Summary: To provide exceptional customer service by releasing open orders and collect past due balances from customers in order to continue our business relationship.
Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Communicates with commercial customers by telephone and email in an attempt to determine reason for overdue payments, reviewing terms of sales and credit contract with customer.
- Monitors and releases orders received through set guidelines.
- Records and reports information about financial status of customers and status of collection efforts.
- Works closely with customers to develop a professional relationship based on customer service and consistent follow-through.
- Assist customers by providing printouts, invoice/credit memo copies, and proof of deliveries.
- Sorts and files correspondence, keeping files and documentation up to date and accurate.
- Posts incoming receipts to customer’s accounts.
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to demonstrate working knowledge or proficiency in the following:
- Must have 3 + years of credit and collections experience.
- The ability to multitask, handling 2 to 3 tasks at one time
- The ability to communicate in both written and verbal form, with strong negotiation skills.
- The ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals.
- The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong mathematical skills which include the capability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
