Collections Strategy Analyst

Business Services provides the services that keep RBS running, including Technology Services, Group Operations and Corporate Services. We put money in the ATMs, keep the Bank's technology systems operating, maintain the branch network, protect our customers from fraud, process millions of pounds of payments across the world and provide call centre and online services. We're also developing the new mobile banking technology, working environments for colleagues and strategies to stay ahead of the competition that are shaping the Group's future.  

 

Group Operations is one of the key functions within Business Services. Group Operations supports RBS’ client-facing businesses by providing secure, reliable and efficient services to customers wherever they are in the world. Group Operations people work together to give great customer service and make the experience of banking with RBS the best it can possibly be. 

 

As a Collections Strategy Analyst, you'll support the development of data driven solutions to improve business performance. You’ll also be involved in designing, developing and building data analytics to support a number of activities for inclusion in monthly and quarterly analytic performance data packs. Additionally, you’ll provide commentary and draw conclusions based on the analytics and liaise with relevant stakeholders to report on the progress of test and learn activities as well as make recommendations for future tests. 

 

To be successful as a Collections Strategy Analyst, you’ll be able to manipulate SAS or SQL to a proficient level and be able to analyse and comment upon data to make recommendations to improve business performance. It’s important you've the ability to use data to identify underlying issues, and undertake root cause analysis. Naturally, you’ll need to be able to present and communicate information in an appropriate format and ideally have work experience in a collections recoveries or credit risk environment.
