Zimmer Corporate offices are based in Warsaw, Indiana, located three-hours east of Chicago in the scenic northern Indiana lake country. Corporate functions based in Warsaw include Research and Development, Legal, Finance and Treasury, Brand Management, Marketing Communications and Medical Education including the home facility for the global Zimmer Institute. Also based in Warsaw are Clinical and Regulatory Affairs, global Public Affairs and Corporate Marketing and global Human Resources functions.

Job Summary

Provides administrative and secretarial support to designated function.  This position involves high level contact and requires effective communication with Zimmer senior management, as well as surgeons, distributors, etc.  A significant portion of the job involves planning, coordinating and making domestic and international travel arrangements that are frequently subject to last minute changes.

 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

§  Must type 65 WPM with 95% accuracy.

§  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

§  High degree of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, judgment and cultural sensitivity.

§  Demonstrated strong organization skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and balance priorities.

§  Strong team player with the ability to build relationships across and outside the organization.

§  Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook/Mail/Calendar, Livelink, and the ability to learn new software applications.

 

Education/ Experience Requirements

§  High School diploma, and a minimum of five years of experience in administrative or related roles, or a combination of education and experience.  Experience working in finance area will be seen as a plus.
