Commercial 4+ (6 months)
Our client, a well regarded financial institution in its field, requires a commercial lawyer to join them for a minimum of 6 months to work on a project.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who is looking for a breadth of experience/exposure. On a day to day basis, the successful applicant will be involved in the following duties:
* Advising upon, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements including partnership and distribution agreements (including white-labelled distribution of financial goods and services), product development agreements, sponsorship arrangements, agreements for the supply of goods and services, IT/IP, employment and consultancy agreements, guarantees, confidentiality agreements, property leases and licences, novel agreements for non-standard business arrangements and other commercial agreements as required by the business.
* Providing legal support and advising upon a variety of salient issues affecting the business, including data protection and intellectual property.
* Providing legal advice and support, across all of the businesses' services lines (including Sales, Category Management, Customer Services, Finance, HR, Risk, IT and Compliance).
* Supporting legal sign-off of marketing literature.
* Providing legal project management, advice and support for internal projects, as required.
* Assisting with corporate transactions (MA) and due diligence, where required.
Ideally you will be a qualified lawyer with a minimum 4 years experience in commercial or technology, gained in a leading law firm or financial services institution. You should have strong communication skills and confident presentation in order to establish credibility with senior business stakeholders and build an internal profile within the organisation. An enthusiastic and energetic attitude is a must.
Foreign qualified lawyers with experience from a commonwealth jurisdiction and the relevant level of experience will be considered for this position.
