Job Description
The Commercial Sales Account Manager secures anddevelops new Commercial HVAC service and maintenanceaccounts. Develops and builds long-term relationshipswith specific commercial customers in order to grow the local andregional commercial customer base within assigned geographicalarea.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilizing effective sales techniques,including networking and “cold calling,” to develop newaccounts for commercial maintenance, service, retrofit, andreplacement business.
- Actively manages and maintains relationshipswith strategic commercial customers and supports the ongoingrelationships with these clients.
- Ensures that the customer receives consistentservice delivery in all locations.
- Ensures that the equipment assessment isconducted; either participates in the assessment or conducts theassessment.
- Utilizing the assessment tool and otherrelevant systems and information, prepares the proposal for thecommercial customer. Explains technical information to thecustomer in an easy-to-understand language.
- Utilizes proprietary software to documentpertinent data on each customer’s account and analyzes data todevelop prospects for additional services.
- Works cooperatively and effectively withcenter staff to ensure high-quality service to the customer.
- Performs similar/related duties asassigned.
Knowledge,Skills,and Abilities:
- Proven sales experience, with emphasis onbusiness-to-business selling, “cold calling,” andgenerating sales from personal networking and lead generation.
- Knowledge of commercial service salesconcepts, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and strongrelationship-management and coaching skills.
- Ability to build long-term relationships withcustomers.
- Ability to work cooperatively with technical,administrative, and support staff.
- Solid skills working with Microsoft Office,contact management software, and databases.
- Good organizational skills and ability tomanage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the commercial HVAC industry aplus but not necessary.
- Self-starter with a desire to learn and togrow the business.
