Commercial Accounting Manager recruitment

Specific Areas of Role Accountability:

• Validate, control and account accurately for revenue investment spend each period (annual budget approx £300m)

• Attend profit review meetings providing top-level insight into the key issues driving revenue investment (including long term and promotional discounts and advertising spend)

• Provide insight into commercial costs at Brand and Channel level

• Continuously review and improve processes and reporting in MIP pack

• Provide variance analysis and performance analysis by brand and channel

• Drive improvements in systems and processes to increase the accuracy of the information from the system.

• Liaise closely with the commercial teams towards ensuring adherence to process and accuracy of data, as well understanding of financial information. 

• Oversee budgeting and forecasting process for long term discounts and advertising spend

• Oversee production of brand and channel information, including liaising closely with the Business Analysis team

• Support IT projects and provide testing resource in accordance with pre-determined testing plans

• Interact with external auditors on revenue investment issues

• Undertake ad hoc duties projects

Requirements

Qualifications Required:

Degree or equivalent

Qualified Accountant - ACMA/ACCA/ACA and/or MBA

Experience Skills Required:

• Several years in a management accounting finance environment.

• Extensive FMCG experience.

• Man management skills.

• Advanced IT database user.
