Commercial Analyst
Our retained client is one of the UK’s fastest growing B2C businesses. With a fast moving, dynamic culture and inspirational management team, this international business has rapidly become the sector’s European market leader and is expected to turn over in excess of £450m in 2012.
Continuing rapid growth has necessitated the creation of a highly commercial role working as a close finance business partner to the Sales and Marketing Director. Highly visible at Board level, the role is operationally focused, sitting within the Sales and Marketing function.
The purpose of the role is to drive both profit top line performance through astute financial and commercial analysis of a wealth of sales and marketing data, providing granular visibility and insight into the performance of sales and marketing investment and resultant customer behaviour.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Sales and Marketing Director in driving business performance by analysing and interpreting data, themes, patterns trends through use of analysis, data modelling manipulation techniques to provide insight and recommendations;
- Driving improved business decisions impacting upon sales and profits through providing a link between the Sales and Marketing function and other key decision makers across the business.
The Candidate
A commercial, proactive and innovative individual, you will be an ambitious qualified accountant with a background in business analysis, an outstanding communicator with advanced skills in Excel, who can cut through high volumes of data to provide simple and clearly presented information through which to influence business decision making. Candidates with financial analysis / commercial support experience in mass consumer facing sectors (such as telecoms, retail (food or non-food), travel, online/e-commerce, utilities, financial services, FMCG) may have an advantage although the key skills may also be found in other sectors.
This is a highly visible role with a remit to drive value and influence business performance in a fast moving growth business.
