As the Commercial Analyst, Retail Spend (Credit Cards) you will be responsible for delivering accurate and insightful analysis that drives the profitability of the credit card business through identification of opportunities and development of campaign strategies working alongside Commercial Managers.
Key Responsibilities;
- Leading delivery of marketing campaigns with Risk, Marketing, Change and Operations
- Analysing credit card performance
- Discussing and presenting my findings to managers and colleagues
- Delivering analysis that is accurate, insightful and commercially focussed which identifies opportunities within the credit card portfolio and helps guide the development of profitable marketing campaigns
- Designing and receiving sign-off on proactive and reactive credit card backbook strategies that meet volume and PL targets as defined in Budget and LTP
- Managing spend within the budget allocated to this activity
- Being proactive in approach with a tenacious approach to identifying commercial opportunities
- Working with analysts from across Tesco Bank to continually improve the analytical infrastructure, share insights and spread best practice
- Working with stakeholders across Tesco Bank to deliver strategies and campaigns.
Experience Required;
- Proficient in SQL and/or SAS
- Experienced with MI databases and various types of analysis to develop data driven proposals
- Experience in a commercial role in financial services, ideally working on a credit card product
- Well organised with some experience of project management.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Technical skills gained at University or through past roles
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders
- Customer focussed
