Listed below is the job description for our Commercial and Enterprise Account Executive position. This position offers a competitive annualized salary plus commissions and benefits package which includes Paid Time Off and healthcare coverage.
General Summary
The Commercial and Enterprise Account Executive position is conversant in the Company’s offerings and is responsible for identifying and generating enterprise leads and ensuring the closing and installation of voice and data products on enterprise accounts within a defined footprint. The Commercial and Enterprise Account Executive is also responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by performing exceptional service, including customer follow-up and practices for retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and implement sale plans, including defined strategies that maximize revenue opportunities of new clients
· Target businesses in the Company’s service area; self-generate enterprise leads through existing relationships and networks; participate at chamber events, leads groups and trade and community events
· Understand the communication needs of enterprise clients and design solutions to meet those complex business needs
· Create and deliver sales presentations to current and potential customers that align with client business goals and objectives
· Conduct face-to-face consultative needs analysis interviews with prospective customers
· Qualify new leads and requests site surveys to determine serviceability of prospects, including submission of ROI analysis to division management
· Maintain all sales database (CRM) necessary to report sales activity and customer information
· Work with the divisional and corporate team to ensure timely handoff of sold accounts for ongoing management and retention
· Work in conjunction with other enterprise services support groups, including infrastructure and marketing personnel
· Attend all sales meetings and training sessions as required by management
· Maintain thorough understanding of company service offerings
· Schedule on-site tests for leads and customer installs
· Perform initial and periodic follow-up with enterprise customers to ensure they are satisfied with the install and service
· Contact enterprise and business customers when new services are available
· Negotiate contract terms with outside agencies, vendors and suppliers for sales related activities
· Work requires weekend and/or evening work and some travel may be required
Other Duties and Responsibilities
· Analyze processes and procedures and suggest improvements
· Train personnel in other divisions on processes and procedures as required
· Facilitate resolutions for support escalations.
· Maintain contact with the field division’s Enterprise accounts; assist with sales and marketing collateral and inform partners of the Company’s new promotions and package prices; answer sales questions
· Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
· No direct reports
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
· Three (3) to five (5) years experience in a related sales role required; telecommunications/Internet Service Provider (ISP) experience preferred
· Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation to drive for business purposes
· Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; solid understanding of Microsoft Excel features and formulas
· Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures in the sales and promotions field
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents
· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions; calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages
· Ability to analyze and define problems, prioritize work flow, multitask, meet deadlines and remain flexible
· Customer service oriented with passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving operational excellence; ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management
· Must be able to demonstrate attention to accuracy on all duties and responsibilities
· Understand business implications of decisions; display orientation to profitability; demonstrate knowledge of market and competition; align work with strategic goals
· Display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment; support and explain reasoning for decisions; include appropriate people in decision-making process; make timely decisions
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Must comply with Company and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) established safety policies and requirements
Physical Demands and Working Environment
· Physical demands: The position requires the incumbent to remain in the sitting position for prolonged hours. While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifteen (15) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
· Work environment: Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/workspace area.
· Daily travel within the Company’s geographical footprint and external destinations may be required.
