A Fortune 500 Company is seeking a Commerical and Government Contract Administrator.  This is a unique opportunity to be involved with a new, cutting edge processes in the metal fabrication industry.

This position is responsible for managing the contract administration from customer inquiry, to quoting, to order and through to shipping.  The Commercial and Government Contract Administrator (CGCA) is the main contact for all customers and the interface with internal resources – company management, operations, legal and accounting - as necessary during contract fulfillment.  The CGCA works with both commercial and government contracts, however, with an added emphasis on government rated orders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ø  Develop, maintain and manage an overall commercial and government contracting program from a commercial perspective.​

Ø  Serve as main point of contact between customers and the Company.​

Ø  Coordinate and respond to customer requests for quotations.​

Ø  Participate in developing costing models and financial margin analysis in preparing customer quotations.​

Ø  Interface with Company internal resources as necessary to prepare responses to RFQ’s.​

Ø  Determine Corporate requirements for all government rated contracts or foreign military sales orders.​

Ø  Review all government quotations prior to dissemination to customers, communicating any exceptions to customer terms and conditions, Federal Acquisition Regulations and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations.​

Ø  Review all commercial quotations prior to dissemination to customers, communicating any exceptions to customer terms and conditions.​

Ø  Participate in Finance/Accounting Responsibilities. 

Ø  Establish and maintain a document control and configuration system for government contract bidding and fulfillment.​

Ø  Coordinate preparation of the ATI CEO CFO Contract and Review Matrix as necessary.​

Ø  Review all government and commercial orders prior to acknowledging and production release for confirmation of negotiated terms.​

Ø  Review, compile and enter new orders into the order entry system based on customer purchase orders.​

Ø  Communicate with any sub-contractors any FAR and/​or DFAR flow down requirements.​

Ø  Ensure that customer orders are shipped on time to customer specifications by communicating customer requirements to operations personnel.​

Ø  Ensure Export Compliance issues are addressed and cleared before an order is shipped.​

Ø  Communicate with customers on a regular basis as necessary regarding status of orders.​

Ø  Process requests for credit approval and assist in collection efforts as needed.​

Ø  Coordinate and participate with on-site customer visits.​

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree preferably in a business or engineering field of study with two to five years experience in sales, marketing, process engineering and/or contract administration preferably in a manufacturing/job shop environment.  A thorough working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Defense Federal Regulations (DFAR) and Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) is required.  Experience dealing with Defense Contracting Audit Agency (DCAA) in proposal reviews and audits.

Position requires a considerable knowledge of administrative processes, policies and procedures relating to a sales, marketing, and finance department.  Successful candidate must have excellent inter-personal, organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, and have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple departments.  Experience in developing cost models and financial margin analysis.  Background in ferrous and/or non-ferrous metals fabrication is desirable.
