Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
A leading global insurer is looking to attract an experienced Commercial Underwriter to their London operation. The company aim to capture the best talent in the market in order to enhance their global reputation.
Reporting to the Senior Underwriter, the Commercial Underwriter will be responsible for building and maintaining a profitable book of business, split equally between Property and Casualty classes. The focus will mainly be on new business and as such there will be a high degree of broker contact. Premiums are above £10,000 and mostly in the range of £35,000 - £75,000. Will also identify opportunities for cross-selling other products where possible.
Candidates wishing to be considered for this role must have a strong background in underwriting Property and Liability classes. The ideal candidate will be from a Development background and have confident relationship building skills.
