Commercial Construction Superintendent Job in Redwood City 94063, California US
At Brett Construction we provide general construction services to commercial and industrial clients in the San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Specializing in tenant improvements, we have a high level of technical expertise and 30+ years experience building a diverse range of projects: high-end office interiors, R D facilities, bio tech labs, data centers, clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, food service, new office buildings, self storage facilities, cellular sites, private road and utility construction. We are currently seeking a site superintendent to join our team who can help contribute to the continued growth and success of our company.
Experience:
1. 5+ years minimum of current experience as commercial construction superintendent.
2. 5+ years minimum carpentry or field trade experience.
3. College Degree in Construction Management may be considered in lieu field experience.
4. Detailed knowledge of Commercial Steel Framing, Drywall, Taping, Electrical, HVAC, Flooring, Painting, Doors, frames Hardware, Glazing systems Suspended ceiling systems.
5. Ability to understand cost and schedule tracking.
6. Ability to resolve potential problems and communicate ways to solve them.
7. Complete understanding of all drawings, specifications and submittal processes.
8. Complete understanding of 2010 CBC handicap requirements.
Duties:
1. On site field coordination of employees and sub contractors.
2. Hold safety meetings and enforce safety policy.
3. Represent company values and policies.
4. Review all field change orders.
5. Generate and log all RFI’s.
6. Code and track employee time cards.
7. Meet with clients.
8. Keep a clean and organized site.
9. Fill out daily job reports.
10. Participate in construction meetings.
Requirements:
1. Work from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
2. Overtime as needed.
3. Pass drug, background and DMV check.
4. Dependable transportation.
