Commercial Controller based in Taiwan – EFNC/WCUI recruitment
Job Summary:
- Working within the finance and also business team, this position plans, develops, leads, co-ordinates, and performs work activities designed to improve the activity in our plants.
- Focusing mainly on forecasting, management reporting and costing the role will improven how we provide value to our internal customers and enable us to be a valued business partner within the overall organization.
- Support the Regional Finance Organization in various, mostly “one off” projects, and also coordinate with Business Unit on forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis and decision making.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with regional management to conduct financial analysis on all areas and give advice to regional management on improvement and cost saving opportunities.
- Compare forward forecast results to historical actual results for trend assessment and analysis for specific Business Unit. Analyzing financial and operations results and highlighting areas of concerns to business managers. And ensure timely close of outstanding issues.
- Provide financial analysis data to management for business plans and business strategies decision-making.
- Carry our projects at and across plants; such as assist the plant finance in case of temporary vacancy; train new Finance staff; improve plant finance metrics; solve accounting inconsistencies; Ad hoc plant projects under the direction from Regional Controller and / or Group controller
- Establish proficiency in project management skills and provide project management support to the finance team to allow management of team projects and initiatives
- Develop and implement the best practices
- Knowledge and Experience:
- Have solid experiences in manufacturing finance, accounting and cost control, and familiar with management reporting;
- Able to structure and analyze a great and complex amount of data; Able to define business strategy by co work with Business Unit; Able to achieve results with constantly changing priorities.
- Have excellent communication and problem solving skills. Have good English, and Mandarin language skills, and be familiar with Excel.
Overall Requirements:
- The Commercial Controller needs to carry out enhancement project for the organization and also coordinate with Business Unit on managing the business, and provide suggestions for strategic decision making based on finance information.
- Responsible for any ad hoc reporting/projects
- Have professional qualification in Finance/Accounting and familiar with finance process includes working with Business Unit to improve business performance. PL analysis and follow up for outstanding items. Details includes PL review, forecasting, BOM , margin, inventory valuation and analysis, excess and obsolete inventory analysis, AR overdue review, payroll, cash cycle days arid relevant management functions
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to confidently communicate results of the analysis
- Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels and functions within the Organization
- Other Requirements:
- Solid finance/accounting working experience in manufacturing site for more than 8 years with 4 years in managerial position
- Good at cost analysis, finance reporting internal control
- Mature and capable to work in matrix organization
- Comfortable in high pressure working
- SAP knowledge will be plus
- Very good command of English; written as well as verbal
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Willingness to travel
