Commercial Credit Risk Director recruitment
Our client, one of the UK’s most respected financial services organisations, requires an accomplished and proven risk leader for the role of Commercial Credit Risk Director, reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer.
As the Senior Director and Head of the Commercial Risk team, you will ensure that the business remains resilient to all foreseeable commercial credit risks, maximising the value generated whilst minimising losses. You will be responsible for managing the credit risk of all commercial exposures (social housing, PFI and real estate), ranging from legacy/distressed assets that the business wishes to liquidate, to the development of its SME risk management capabilities.
You will be highly experienced and regarded by your peers as an expert in the field of credit risk management, with extensive knowledge of the real estate sector. This is a role which demands strong commercial focus, personal integrity and people skills with a track record of building and leading teams of risk professionals.
You will already be operating at a senior level in a high performing, matrix organisation, influencing at all levels of the business, communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders such as the board and regulator. The ability to develop ongoing credible relationships and confidently challenge, debate and advise, will be key to your success in this role.
