Commercial Director Job in London, London UK
International Marketing Agency, part of one of the world’s largest Communications Group, are looking for a talented and ambitious individual to lead the Commercial team within the agency and oversee the commercial and financial relationship with all key clients. Working closely alongside client leaders and account handlers and providing full support on financial matters and contractual compliance.
The role:
- Oversee the development and up-skilling of a UK-based client finance/commercial team, to support in the management of these relationships and financial organisation;
- Provide suggestions and support to client teams to drive more profitable behaviour;
- Provide guidance and support in remuneration negotiations;
- Help make informed staffing decisions, particularly through the use of utilisation and billability information;
- Review client contracts before, during and after negotiation with clients;
- Ensure knowledge and compliance with contracts on existing business;
- Provide guidance on the commercial terms contained in new business submissions;
- Use reports to highlight persistently bad job reconciliation and profit destroying behaviour.
The person:
- Experience of client negotiations required – particularly procurement;
- Ability to partner with and collaborate with senior management;
- Verbal written communication must be of high standard;
- Strong analytical skills, numerate and good attention to detail;
- Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
- Strong leadership skills to develop team of client/commercial experts;
- Confident, personable and communicative team player
