Commercial & Financial Analyst
An innovative and progressive business in Exeter are currently recruiting a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their successful team.
The main purpose of the role is to analyse, evaluate and provide commercial insight with respect to sales, product development and finance. The position requires someone to be pro-active and inquisitive across the business in analysing data and providing feedback, along with recommendations that will enhance the decision making process.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
· Providing analytical support for the commercial team to provide insight into current customer and performance trends using available data such as EPOS system
· Assess new market and new product opportunities
· Create, develop and maintain financial models to support strategic objectives
· Develop understanding of cost environment to enable commercial modelling and pricing analysis in order to maximise margin and reduce risk
· Design and analyse KPIs
· Support the Financial Controller in presenting and communicating performance and projections for the business
· Develop systems and reporting methods that enhance the commercial understanding within the business
The successful candidate will be either a qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or qualified by experience. However, it is essential that you are pro-active, inquisitive and able to use your initiative to look for opportunities. You will be highly proficient using excel and experience of using SAP Business One is also desirable.
