Job Description
- This is a multi-faceted position that will require various skills to manipulate data and interpret results for presentation to all levels of management of the Commercial Marketing, Sales, and Product teams.
Job Responsibilities:
The Commercial Insights Manager will interface with the database marketing group, finance and various vendors to obtain internal and external data and metrics to support the needs of the Commercial teams. This position primarily supports both the product management and marketing teams, but will also play a key role within Business Development. Establish standardized recurring reports and ensure ease of availability for all users with views to local market, regional and comprehensive total organizational views. The position is also responsible for synthesizing segmentation, insights, buying behavior, trends and other data sources into actionable initiatives (sales and/or marketing).
Clearly communicate the results and recommendations in various formats as required for the appropriate audience.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with a Commercial telecommunications, financial, or high technology environment
- Solid experience in building and optimizing Business to Business strategies
- Excellent database knowledge and excel skills are crucial.
- Ability to quickly learn new reporting software tools is required.
- Outstanding analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail are required.
- Excellent communication skills, including outstanding written and oral skills, are mandatory
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision is essential.
- Ability to handle high pressure, conflicting demands and issues including “emergencies of the day”.
Required Experience ( 3-5 years)
Experience:
- Experience in Analytics in Telecommunication preferred
- Experience with Dun Bradstreet Data
- Experience with Dun Bradstreet Market Insight tool preferred
- Experience with other software reporting tools such as Salesforce.com, Comscore Media Metrix is desired
- Experience in Microsoft Sharepoint is desired
