Commercial Management Accountant Job in Reading, Home Counties UK

Gleeson Recruitment is currently recruiting for a commercial management accountant to join a market leading service and contract based business in Reading.  The role will involve:

 

·        Working closely with all levels of management to develop and improve the operational information used to manage the business.

·        Initially the focus would be to identify the senior management’s requirements and develop reports to capture the impact of expenditure and performance.

·        Develop robust systems and process that will allow the information to be accurate, timely and reliable

·        Work with the senior managers to reduce the cost base of the company

·        Develop KPI’s that enable swift evaluation of the performance

·        Streamline the reporting process to match the company’s requirement

·        By using the improved information, work with the customer to help them better understand the operation bottlenecks and issues effecting the day to day operations

·        Develop and monitor capital expenditure controls.

·        Budget and forecasting

·        Evaluate the changes to the business when there are changes in the customer’s requirements

·        Support and work with the Finance Director as required

 

The ideal candidate will be :

·        Commercially focussed with proven track record of delivering improvements in an operational environment

·        Excellent knowledge of accounting practices, statutory regulations and reporting requirements.

·        Good financial management and analytical skills.

·        Chartered accountant. (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)

·        Ability to achieve tight deadlines with a high degree of quality and understanding
