Currently operating a traditional banking model in Malta, the medium term ambition for our client is to launch a purely online business model in Europe. We are therefore seeking a truly forward thinking Commercial Manager to run the over all banking operation in Malta.
Description
The Commercial Manager will act as number two to the Chief Operating Officer in managing the complete banking operation including a team of customer-facing and back office retail banking staff. This is a unique opportunity to grow your career within a dynamic organisation whilst still in its infancy offering you 360 degree exposure. The decisions taken by you will have direct impact on the operational and strategic performance of this bank and most importantly on its future success.
Key responsibilities for the Commercial Manager include:
- Project Management of a number initiatives e.g. implementation of core banking system
- Product Development and Management
- Strategic business case analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Management reporting of sales, conversion and operational KPIs
The ideal candidate will come from a digital banking, retail or consulting background with proven experience of delivering high quality, tangible results. You will have extensive deposit market knowledge, a good understanding of marketing and product management as well as experience of managing sales campaigns. In this fast paced environment you will need to think quickly and make logical decisions to effect a positive growth strategy.
