Commercial Modelling Manager recruitment

Key Accountabilities:

• Management and development of Member financial models and analysis to illustrate the key drivers of profitability or financial impact of Visa products and services to Members.

• Additionally, the job holder will be required to:

• Manage the interchange MI responses to Member Bank RFP/RFI or rebids in a timely manner and ensure it is accurate and legally and commercially viable.

• Lead the development of financial business cases and profitability models from Member perspective for new and existing product and services. 

• Manage existing profitability models to ensure they remain relevant to the business to support their objectives.

• Provide financial insight sourced from modelling and analysis to drive decision making, presenting outputs internally within Visa Europe and to Members.

• Support the creation and management of processes for business cases/financial modelling tools to balance quality and value with speed of output.

• Build profitability MI knowledge within Visa Europe.

• Deputise for the Head of Commercial Modelling when required.

Essential criteria:

• Educated to degree level and/or Banking/finance qualifications (e.g. ACA/ACCA/ACIB/ACMA)

• Ideally a minimum of 5 years experience in commercial partnering/decision support/ MI Analytics role

• Proven track record of working effectively cross divisionally and with external customers in a B2B environment or exposed to internal senior management

• Ability to design and develop financial models, using spreadsheet and database applications 

• Ability to understand/ interpret and apply complex financial data and calculations, strong reasoning abilities to interrogate and challenge financial inputs, outputs and logic

• Ability to manage both “the detail” as well as present “the big picture” to senior executives

Desirable criteria:

• Experience of payment cards / banking knowledge with the understanding of the economic principles surrounding payment systems in two-sided markets

• Expert in Visa systems and processes

• Experience in pricing or interchange
