ABOUT THE BUSINESS:
Corporate Financial Services (CFS) is part of the Business and Private Banking (BPB) business unit of the Commonwealth Bank. The CFS team serves over 12,000 clients with complex financial needs and over $10m in revenue. The division is well placed to provide medium and large companies with access to a wide range of financial services with approximately 800 professionals in nearly 50 locations across Australia.
The Property Specialist Team, which is part of CFS, concentrates on providing specialist property advice on commercial investment and development proposals, as well as providing an expert advisory function for frontline teams on the current property market. The team examines and supports transactions of a material impact to CFS to maintain the high credit quality of the property exposures. The Property Specialist Team is also responsible for setting strategies and business direction for Corporate property lending at the CBA.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The purpose of this superb new opportunity is to support the Commercial Property Industry and Strategy Specialist and National Head of Property Finance in analysing the CBA property book as well as property markets and their driving factors, delivering detailed statistics and commentary on national market sectors and the CBA book in a dynamic and timely fashion.

DUTIES:
- Research, analyse and develop detailed Property insights/reports
- Engage with external property industry specialists and legislative authorities to gather relevant information
- Analyse systems and prepare and recommend strategies for the business
- Financial modelling and internal networking
- Assist and assess the risks which could prevent achievement of the property finance strategies
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
You have developed outstanding skills in research, analysis, stakeholder management, problem solving, and will have strong verbal, written and presentation skills. You will be driven, highly organised and goal orientated and you will have a good understanding of the Commercial Property industry, good commercial acumen and we envisage that you will also have a great energy, passion for Property, a CAN do attitude and have the ability to drive change, influence, be insightful and work in a results driven business/team. A degree in Business/Finance and/or Commerce is an advantage, as is having strong financial modelling skills.
