Commercial Roofing Estimator Job in Tampa 33606, Florida US
Well-established Commercial Roofing Contractor on the West Coast of Florida is seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator.
Individual must have through knowledge of Commercial Roofing Systems, especially those involved with re-roofing. The ability to generate take offs from reading plans as well as site inspections. Familiarity with associated sheet metal work.
- Initiate, establish and maintain working relationships with owner/architect/engineer and sub contractors to facilitate roofing activities.
- Review and approve subcontract, vendor payment applications and miscellaneous invoices.
- Negotiate, prepare, issue and execute change orders (proposals) to owners, design team, sub contractors and others, and prepare revisions to original bids as a result of changes and revisions to work.
- Ensure timely and accurate billings and accounts receivables.
- Ensure timely project completion through project scheduling, expediting of material deliveries and the management of materials and document submittals/approvals.
- Provide organization, direction and training of subordinate team members.
- Lead and participate in regularly schedule staff meetings.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with Owners, Architect/Engineers and sub contractors marketing.
- Manage close out process.
- Familiar with all Policies and Processes as it relates to this position.
- Actively participates on internal teams that focus on continuous improvement of the business.
- 5-Years of commercial roofing / re-roofing experience.
- Demonstrated competency in these areas: estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, field supervision, client relationship, interpersonal skills, computer skills, ability to communicate, both written and oral.
- Generally understand the essential job function, duties and responsibilities of an Estimator.
