Details of the job:
- Field Sales - to build relationships with customers
- Meet with prospective customers to understand their needs and scope of work
- Communicate these clearly to our estimator
- Design bid packages and present them to prospective customers
- Persuade and win sales
- Cold call property management and commercial companies to build new relationships and generate new opportunities
- Work with production staff through to project completion
- Join and participate in organizations that will allow you to interact with potential customers.
Required Skills and Abilities:
This individual should be outgoing, personable and presentable. You should like meeting new people and developing friendships. You need to be self-motivated; goal oriented and have strong organizational and time management skills. You should like to close sales via persuasion, customer service and negotiation. You should be computer savvy.
Painting industry knowledge is not required. You will be working with an estimator to put together proposals. A minimum of two years of sales experience with a sustained record of performance is needed. A university degree is an asset.
