Commercial Senior Claims Advisor

Full Job Description

Duties Include:
- To proactively manage all aspects of allocated non-motor claims, but predominantly Commercial property claims from registration to conclusion.
- To manage own workload and work as one of the team to ensure personal and departmental guidelines are achieved.
- To develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers to support profitable growth of the business.
- To act as point of reference for individual property and Commercial claims up to financial authority limit:
o Assessing policy cover
o Validity and amount of claim
o Settlement in accordance with internal procedures and philosophy
o Complaints handling
There will also be a requirement to deputise for the Team Manager during periods of absence, assist with the development of practices, procedures and philosophies, provide referral, mentoring and training support and to promote a high level of fraud awareness within the team.

Whilst you should have had experience in a similar role you should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Expert commercial insurance knowledge
- Good standard of general education
- Superior written and verbal skills
- High level of fraud awareness
- Accuracy and attention to detail imperative
- Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary, as is the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people
- Capability to work on ones own initiative and liaise effectively with all levels of management as required
