Our ideal candidate will be a hands-on, proactive self-starter with 2 years’ relevant experience, who is eager to learn and thoroughly understand the Molasses industry. The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator who effectively builds relationships at all levels, is able to adjust to change quickly and keen to take on new challenges.
The jobholder will undertake a wide variety of activities, including supporting the physical trading and operation teams investigating potential new commercial and business development opportunities, as well as the involvement in the logistical operations.
We are a global company and this role will initially be based is the Philippines and will later provide career development opportunities globally. We are looking for a candidate who is excited by the prospect of a truly international career.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to operational excellence within the organisation in a broad supporting role covering commercial, financial, quality, legal and logistics activities.
- Establish strong relationships with existing customers and create new business as well as connections with industry contacts.
- Investigate potential projects, devise and implement commercial strategies in order to grow the business and increase the customer base.
- Provide input into the development of the company’s Liquid Products trading strategy.
- Feasibility studies and project delivery.
- Provide support to the Molasses trading team.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- A background in agricultural commodities/food industry would be beneficial; and a keen interest in the world of physical commodities is essential.
- High calibre degree in a relevant subject.
- A capable oral and written communicator who effectively builds relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
- Complete fluency in business English is essential; and 2 language would advantageous.
- Flexible and adaptable; eager to learn and thoroughly understand the Molasses industry, able to adjust to change quickly and keen to take on new challenges.
- Self confidence, with the ability to voice opinions constructively.
- Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit. Generates ideas for business improvements and is able to implement them.
- Happy to travel and be based internationally as required
- Determined, resilient with a desire to make a long term contribution to EDF Man’s business.
- Strong emphasis on performance; sets high standards, goal orientated, ambitious and able to maintain performance under pressure.
- Proficient IT skills.
