Commercial HVAC Control System Technician

 

We are seeking a full-time commercial HVAC Controls Systems Technician to program, commission and service both new and retrofit commercial, web-based  HVAC DDC systems in both government and private buildings in Montgomery and throughout central Alabama. 

We are seeking someone with the following skills and qualifications:

·         Prior commercial HVAC DDC programming experience.  Experience with Schneider, TAC, Invensys IA, Tridium, Network 8000, and/or TAC Vista is preferred;

·         Understanding of and familiarity with commercial HVAC systems and equipment;

·         Strong computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office products (Visio, Excel, Word).   Adobe Photoshop experience is preferred.  If needed, training will be provided for our vendor-specific software programs and applications;

·         The ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, control drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, sequences of operation, and installation and operation manuals;

·         Dependable, resourceful, and friendly;

·         Strong communication and organizational skills;

·         High School Diploma; and

·         Valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and a reliable vehicle with proper insurance.

The job tasks include the following:

·         Programming, checking out, and commissioning web-based commercial HVAC DDC control systems in both government and private buildings.    Projects include both new and retrofit systems;

·         Preparing and submitting any required commissioning documentation;

·         Documenting all changes as as-built drawings; and

·         Performing service and repair on existing DDC systems.

We have completed over 8,000 installations of temperature control, automation, electronic security systems and CCTV systems. Customers include hospitals, schools, colleges, churches, military installations and private owners of all types.
