About the Opportunity

This position will be responsible for Sale Commission plan administration, which includes understanding the plans, creating calculation workbooks, performing calculations and reporting to management. They will also be doing the monthly commission accrual and commissionable revenue reporting.


Responsibilities

•             Responsible for understanding and learning approximately 20 Sales Commission plans.

•             Prepare and process commissions on a quarterly basis for all Sales representatives accurately.

•             Learn several systems and a complex commission process quickly.

•             Provide monthly, quarterly and adhoc reporting for the organization.

•             Provide support and documentation for SOX and external audit requests.

•             Research exceptions and enlist the resources necessary to avoid the exception in the future.

•             Provide efficiency suggestions and drive change to streamline manual processes.

•             Calculate monthly commission accrual, commissionable revenue and Commission GL reconciliation.


Qualifications

•             Bachelor’s degree required.

•             5-7 years of audit and/or Commission experience.

•             CPA or CPA candidate, preferred but not required.

•             Some finance/accounting, business analysis experience preferred.

•             Knowledge and use of PeopleSoft a plus.

•             Expert in Excel skills: linking data, array formulas, advanced functions (vlookup, etc.), and solid pivot table skills (formulas, formatting, etc.).

•             High level of comfort with computer and various software applications: MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Access), knowledge of database and querying techniques.

•             Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of personnel across multiple functions including Executive Management.

•             Must be detail oriented and focused on low error rate.

•             Must be a strong team player, flexible, and willing to work overtime when required.

•             Quick learner with ability to complete tasks independently with attention to detail.

•             Excellent troubleshooting skills – ability to understand a problem and determine key issues that will assist resolution.

•             Experience in and understanding of the direct marketing industry a plus.
