Commodities and Energy Analyst recruitment
The Role:
We are seeking highly motivated, detail oriented people to join the Global Data Energy team.
This group provides real time market data which is used by our clients to make informed investment decisions. Your main responsibilities will be to update, maintain and process data covering the various energy and commodities markets in the Asia Pacific region. You will develop relationships with some of the world's top energy brokers and market participants to ensure the accuracy and timely collation of this information, whilst liaising between Bloomberg Sales, News and Business Management to ensure the maintenance and development of the product. Excellent communication skills and a keen interest in the financial markets are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and qualifying relevant market data across a variety of energy and commodity
markets
- Updating and processing data onto the Bloomberg database in a timely manner
- Maintaining and enhancing the existing database
- Responding to client queries regarding the data within assigned market
- Keen interest in energy markets (though experience or energy-related qualification not
required)
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Speed and accuracy when processing data
- Experience with Microsoft Excel/VBA/macros is desirable
- Ability to interact with clients within the financial industries
- Fluency in an Asian language is an advantage
