Commodities Director with strong EMIR / Dodd-Frank Reporting knowledge and Project Experience – £80K
My client are a major player in the commodity and energy market and are looking to bring on a candidate with excellent leaderships skills combined with Commodities Derivatives knowledge to take control of the division and help drive the company forward to become the market leader in the industry.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Review and refine existing business plans to comply with EMIR;
- Work internally and with customers to understand capabilities and requirements to build an industry leading service;
- Liaison with product manager and development team to design system requirements that satisfy EMIR reporting requirements;
- Develop and expand relationships with regulators and market participants;
- Present at industry functions and regulatory panels;
- Work with the regulatory affairs team to comment on trade reporting and related policies;
- Visit customers, deliver system demonstrations and gather feedback for system development;
- Monitor news and work with investors relations team to determine key issues and responses; and
- Willing to travel up to 40% of the time
The successful candidate will have:
- Considerable financial services and derivatives experience at a senior management level.
- The ability to quickly develop knowledge of the firm's business lines and communicate complex and technical ideas succinctly to customers
- Bachelor's degree or higher;
- Strong leadership capability and be able to work well as part of a global team;
- The ability to work well in an entrepreneurial and business development capacity
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate at various levels within the organization and with external parties;
- Be self-motivated and able to act on their own initiative;
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage concurrent projects and meet deadlines in a highly dynamic environment;
- Understand exchange services (e.g., execution, clearing and post-trade) with a focus on physically and financially settled instruments in the commodity and energy asset class;
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate at various levels within customer firms;
- Be detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment; and
- Ideally have experience defining system requirements for system development.
