Commodities eTrading Architect Team Leader, Completely Greenfield Platform
A tier one US bank are looking for a Lead Architect to build a brand new commodities electronic trading platform.
This is an SVP/ED level hire, who will be responsible for designing the platform, and then hiring a team of developers around him to build it. The team will be 3/4 to begin with, and will grow with the business from there.
This is completely Greenfield, and will be a competing platform to the likes of BarCap's BARX, Morgan Stanley's MATRIX and RBS's RBSONLINE.
Essential:
Technical background (OO skills in Java and/or C#)
Object Oriented Design
eCommerce/eTrading background (ideally Commodities, but will look at strong candidates from FX or Rates)
They are really looking for someone who has been instrumental in building something like this before, and has a really strong understanding of the challenges that a project of this nature pose.
