Commodities Front Office Risk Analyst recruitment
A leading London based European Energy Trading House seeks a qualified professional to join the business in the capacity of Trading Risk Analyst. The successful candidate will report to the Trading Risk Manager.
The team is comprised of desk aligned risk analysts. Your expertise shall be called upon to routinely interact with the trading desk to facilitate analysis of key trading strategies. Additionally, you will be expected to generate and articulate analysis of risk embedded in both new and existing transactions.
The successful applicant will work closely with the trading desk and origination teams in developing proposals for new business activities. Another key component of the role will be on-going analysis of price, position and risk information in support of the Front Office Risk Team.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in risk management and quantitative analysis from a Financial Services background. Candidates will benefit from having previous experience interacting with the trading floor and will possess strong interpersonal skills. A certain level of knowledge of energy commodities and the power market is highly desirable.
