Commodities Front Office Systems Developer – Power, Gas and Emissions – Java, C#, C++ recruitment

This role is for a front office systems developer working in Power, Gas and Emissions systems. The varied projects will include the rapid development required by a dynamic business, coupled with the strategic rennovation of our platform.
Skills Required:
This permanent role is for a developer with good technical skills and strong experience of building front office technology for the energy industry - power, gas and emissions. The role will be part of a team that services the trading desk and origination, as well as clients across Finance, Operations and Market Risk. As such the candidate will require:
- Strong experience in the energy markets with a good understanding of trading, physical delivery and financial risk and PL reporting. Ability to act as a business analyst and convert the business requirements into technical requirements, and then deliver on them.
- The candidate will have proven experience in a front-office trading environment and have the communication skills necessary to be extremely client facing.
- Good technical skills across either Java, C# or C++, with very good database / SQL skills.
- Self starting and with high energy.
Skills Desired:
Python, Perl, Shell scripting are useful skills.
