Commodities Product Control, Middle Office & Trade Support – Exotics (AVP-VP) recruitment
Our client is currently looking for the top audit or banking candidates looking to make a move into this competitive, rewarding and extremely desirable function. You will have around 8-10 years experience in (preferably) an audit or similar banking / FS / product control role; and have a strong interest in financial products, markets and industries.
The exposure you will get is fantastic, and this will not be a line control role. It is more of a BUC or LE role whereby the exposure you get will be front to back - PnL, Balance Sheet, IPV, Financial Control and so on. You will be able to add value in a variety of areas and be given the capacity to perform to an AVP-VP standard.
Day-to-day Duties:
- Reviewing daily PnLs and monthly balance sheet
- Ensuring accuracy for all front office market data information
- Providing expert assistance in resolving trade failures - working with IT and other groups to do so
- Data set up - curves (forwards, volatility surfaces), portfolios, trading systems
- Some involvement in pre trade approvals
- Generation of risk scenarios for exotic traders
- Exotics/Structured Product Life Cycle Control
Requirements:
- Top academics and accounting qualifications
- At least 8-10 years in top tier or mid tier banking environment and audit
- All round PC knowledge - PnL, Balance Sheet, product knowledge, PC control frameworks, trader interactions, BS MIS and substantiation
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to face off against senior management
- Exposure to derivatives products. Exposure to exotic/structured products is a bonus but a MUST for VP lele
