Our client is one of the top 10 world global energy traders. The operate both a prop function as well as up and downstream trade and supply. They are a young company but known as one of the top in the commodities market as a whole.

The quantitative team is responsible for supporting trading platforms with the required infrastructures (databases, processes, etc), and developing trading and risk management tools as well as modelling new curves and strategies

The Quantitative Analyst position is a front-office position and the suitable candidate will work closely with the Quantitative team, notably on:

· Developing new pricing models and trading strategies

· Developing, maintaining and supporting a commodity trading tool (C, C++, Excel, C#)

· Creating Indexes

· Developing various trading tools (Excel, C++)

· Developing and maintaining various overnight processes (Risk management, historical analysis C#)

Currently the team includes 2 other quants based on the commodities platform and a group of 30 traders.

Candidates MUST have:

• A minimum of 4 years as a Quant Analyst / Modeller
• Minimum 2 years in commodities
• Experience in and Investment Bank or Hedge Fund (high demand environment)
• Quantitative degree in Maths, Science, Economics, Computer Science or any related discipline
• C++ / Matlab / VBA / Excel
• Work experience in commodities
• Experience of commodities pricing or indexes
• Practical work experience with Excel
• Excellent quantitative mind
• You MUST be AN EU Passport holder due to restrictions.
