Commodities Structurer – Leading US Investment Bank – London recruitment
My client a highly reputable investment bank is looking to fill a commodity structuring position. They are looking for a senior Vice President level candidate to focus on European clients. This position will allow someone with a commodities background who has been previous working with financial institutional and corporate clients to gain greater client exposure and responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be working across structuring and valuation, liaising closely with traders/sales and the quant’s team helping them to generated new products and tactical ideas for structured products marketed through retail distribution. The team is cross commodity, so you will gain exposure and be responsible for designing a wide range of commodities products in Energy, Metals, Agriculture, Power and Commodity Indices and push hybrid structures (FX/ Rates/ Equities) and promote cross selling efforts. You will be developing complex solutions for a vast array for well-established clients interacting with them frequently.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ideal candidate will have Senior Vice President level experience within commodity structuring
- Must be a commodity structurer or trader with good multi product knowledge and previous investment bank experience
- Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of derivative and physical commodities.
- Previous exposure to Asian clients is essential
- Strong technical skills/ pricing and derivatives knowledge is important
- A strong commodities quant will also be considered, providing you have strong communication skills and have had some exposure to the structuring space.
The remuneration package is flexible, and entirely dependent upon the seniority of the successful individual.
