Commodities Trade Support (Softs & Ags) recruitment
For those who are exploring new opportunities within Commodities Operations, a brand new permanent position has arisen that may well potentially be of interest. Our Tier 1 Investment Banking client is looking to hire a driven individual with commodities trade support experience for their Energy and Softs team.
The responsibilities of the role include:
• Intraday reconciliation between exchange and internal booking system
• Intraday position checks and notification to trading desk
• Trade checkout and validation
• Direct liaison with Exchange(s) to confirm trade clearing
• Holding instrument reconciliation
• PnL / Risk Reporting internally
• MIS collation and reporting.
The team is situated on the trading desk and enables direct support to the Front Office. There will also be interaction with the Back and Middle Office to provide cross-product support.
The successful appointee will possess the following attributes:
• Systems knowledge: MS Office, Endur (Openlink), Athena desirable
• Experience working in close proximity to a trading-floor environment
• In depth product knowledge around Commodities and more specifically Softs Ags
• Financial services industry experience
• Excellent people skills and analytical skills.
This is a great opportunity for a professional to work in a challenging environment and gain product knowledge within a range of commodities including crude oil, refined products, natural gas and agriculture (coffee, cocoa, sugar, wheat, soy products, corn).
