Commodities - Tradefloor Desktop Support Analyst
A top tier organisation is looking for an experienced Tradefloor Desktop Support Analyst to join their Front Office Commodities Support team. The Trade Floor Desktop Support Analyst will provide desk-side support for the day-to-day end-users within IST. The primary focus is on provision of support to the staff on the 2 trading floors, but there is a requirement for other support duties include provision of support for the other office location as well as travelling staff and some remote staff within the EAO region.
The Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for resolving incidents involving:
- Desktop Hardware and mobile devices
- Software
- IP telephony
- Desktop-related support services including end-user desk moves and workplace recovery site support
Essential
- Strong demonstrable experience of supporting a wide-range of technologies including:
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Windows Networking
- A range of computing platforms: desktops, laptops, tablets, PDAs and mobile devices
- Demonstrable experience of recording, analysing and managing resolutions in line with Service Level Agreements whilst ensuring user requirements and expectations are managed.
- Strong demonstrable experience of Trade Floor technologies - market data, trader voice and trading applications.
- Excellent communication skills, i.e. extremely customer-focused, articulate and methodical
- Microsoft Certification (likely to have gained an MS certification during time doing direct support, not necessarily MCSE)
- ITIL V3, Service Management Foundation certification
Technical experience of:
- LAN and WAN technologies, Network Protocols and Remote Access via Broadband/Analogue
